Tailgate Talks: John Strickland — Offensive lineman never get the love they deserve, right? Well, they do on the Tailgate! John Strickland, the Gamecocks' center from 2000-2004, might be the biggest South Carolina fan out there. From big bowl wins, to a brawl, and playing for legendary coach Lou Holtz, John has plenty of great stories for Gamecock nation.

🔺 We’re Hosting! Gamecock softball was selected as the No. 8 national seed for the NCAA Tournament! This is their first national top-eight seed in modern program history. South Carolina will host Virginia, North Florida, and Elon. They’ll play Elon on Friday at 5:30 p.m. on ESPN+.

Additionally, Sam Gress earned two SEC honors! She was named to the All-SEC Second Team and the All-Defensive Team. She becomes the first Gamecock pitcher to be named All-Defensive Team.

🔺 Frankly The Best. Gamecock men’s golfer Nathan Franks was named to the SEC Community Service Team! His volunteer work at the Harvest Hope Food Bank and other local initiatives led the team in community service hours. He also made his PGA TOUR debut over the weekend.

The men’s golf team will compete in the NCAA Bremerton Regional today through Wednesday.

🔺 Promise Kept. Former Gamecock men’s basketball star Tre’ Kelley recently completed his college degree after playing basketball professionally. He thanks the Carolina Degree Completion Program for helping him finish his degree in service management, a promise he made to Coach Odom and kept. Kelley advises others in similar situations to complete their education and use the program's resources.

🔺 That’s A Wrap. The men’s tennis season came to an end in the NCAA Super Regional. The Gamecocks fell at No. 5 Stanford, 4-0. They finish the season with a 21-8 overall record, 11-3 in conference play.
