Gamecocks Untold: Mackay - Growing up, Jamie Mackay was used to being the only girl on the field. She fell in love with baseball at a young age and dreamed of playing in college, but life opened another door when she was offered an SEC softball scholarship before ever playing a single inning of the sport. Now, after transferring to South Carolina for her senior season, Jamie is looking for one final postseason run before heading back to women's professional baseball. Much like the 2026 Gamecocks, the California native has turned a rollercoaster season into an opportunity for a storybook ending.

 🔺 Four Gamecocks Named to CSC Academic All-District Team. Fifth-year Lauren Friedman and sophomores Helena Buchwald and Jana Stojanova represented the women’s tennis team, while rising junior Max Stenzer received the honor on the men’s squad. Friendman and Stojanova both boast 4.0 GPAs.

 🔺 AJ Lawson Secures Degree. Former South Carolina Basketball standout and current Toronto Raptor, AJ Lawson, finished his degree through the Carolina Degree Completion Program!

🔺 Second Round Complete. Molly McLean sits tied for 10th at the Tallahassee Regional and is shooting even par through 36 holes. Vairana Heck is 5-over at the same site, while Eila Galitsky is T-13th at the Louisville Regional with a score of 4-under-par. Maylis Lamoure is also competing in Louisville and is T-30th. The final round begins this morning as the individual Gamecocks look to qualify for the NCAA Championships as one of the top qualifiers at their respective regionals.
