Gamecocks Untold: Mackay - Growing up, Jamie Mackay was used to being the only girl on the field. She fell in love with baseball at a young age and dreamed of playing in college, but life opened another door when she was offered an SEC softball scholarship before ever playing a single inning of the sport. Now, after transferring to South Carolina for her senior season, Jamie is looking for one final postseason run before heading back to women's professional baseball. Much like the 2026 Gamecocks, the California native has turned a rollercoaster season into an opportunity for a storybook ending.

 🔺 Chasing A Championship. Gamecock track & field will compete at the SEC Outdoor Championships, starting today! The women’s team enters the championship meet ranked No. 3 by the USTFCCCA.

 🔺 Music City Matchup. Gamecock baseball closes the regular season at Vanderbilt this weekend. The weekend will start early with first pitch tonight at 7 p.m. on SEC Network+.

🔺 All About Community. Gamecock junior pitcher Jake McCoy has been named to the SEC Baseball Community Service Team for the second-straight season. He has been involved with numerous community service projects around the Midlands. In 2025, he donated $23 for every strikeout to the Purple Hearts Homes Strikeout for Veterans Campaign, and while he hasn’t pitched this season due to injury, he still made a donation to the campaign.

🔺 Boys Are Back In Town. Four former Gamecock All-Americans are in town this week! Matt NeSmith, Scott Stevens, Jamie Wilson, and Nathan Franks will be playing at the Colonial Life Charity Classic at Woodcreek.
