Tailgate Talks: Demetrius Knight — From under-recruited to second round pick, who doesn't love an underdog story? Demetrius Knight played sparingly his first four years in college, but became a fan favorite in a matter of a few months in the Garnet & Black. D-Knight joins the Tailgate right after his life-changing phone call on NFL Draft night.

📈 STOCK UP

🔺 A New Day. Gamecock softball fell 13-1 in last night’s series opener against No. 19 Alabama. The Tide added 10 runs in the second inning to pull away. The Gamecocks look to even the series tonight at 6 p.m. Seven seniors will be honored before first pitch.

🔺 Cowboy Up. Gamecock baseball hosts Florida this weekend and we have a jam packed weekend of fun at Founders Park! First pitch is tonight at 7 p.m. Wear your cowboy hats because it’s Western Night presented by La Herradura and Ariat! Tomorrow is Alumni Day and the first 500 fans will receive a reversible bucket hat. Sunday is May the Fourth and fans will receive special Star Wars-themed mini posters. All three games will stream on SEC Network+.

🔺 Home Court Advantage. The 13th-ranked men’s tennis team begins NCAA Tournament play today! They’ll host VCU at 2 p.m. at the Carolina Tennis Center. This will be the first time these two teams have met in over 10 years.

The women’s tennis team will play Kansas at 1 p.m. at North Carolina. This is the 30th consecutive NCAA Tournament appearance for the Gamecocks.

🔺  New Additions. Men’s basketball coach Lamont Paris announced the signings of six transfers!
