Tailgate Talks: Troy Williamson — First team All-SEC, NCAA record-holder, top ten NFL draft pick. Troy Williamson covered a lot of ground in his three years in the Garnet & Black, and surely left his mark. The South Carolina native went on to play for six years in the NFL and is now back in the Midlands, raising kids and cheering on the Gamecocks.

🔺 Dreams To Reality. Former Gamecock defensive lineman Tonka Hemingway was selected by the Las Vegas Raiders in the 2025 NFL Draft. He reflects on his journey, expressing gratitude for his hard work and the support of his coaches at South Carolina. 🔺 Simply The Best. Gamecock sophomore sprinter JaMeesia Ford has been named to The Bowerman Watch List! She won the program’s first-ever 100m SEC Outdoor Championship last weekend. The final Bowerman Watch List will be after NCAA prelims on June 4.

🔺 Rewriting History. In 1983, the South Carolina softball team lost a 17-inning marathon to UCLA in the Women’s College World Series. The 2025 Gamecocks, facing UCLA in the NCAA Super Regional, are looking to avenge that historic loss. Former Gamecock players, who believe their team was similar to the current one, are eager for the 2025 team to win and bring redemption. Take a look at what the former Gamecocks had to say!

🔺 Country Roads. The men’s basketball team will play in the second annual Greenbrier Tip-Off at The Greenbrier Resort in West Virginia. They’ll be joined by Butler, Northwestern, and Virginia as each team will play two games in the tournament.
