Tailgate Talks: Troy Williamson — First team All-SEC, NCAA record-holder, top ten NFL draft pick. Troy Williamson covered a lot of ground in his three years in the Garnet & Black, and surely left his mark. The South Carolina native went on to play for six years in the NFL and is now back in the Midlands, raising kids and cheering on the Gamecocks.

📈 STOCK UP

🔺 Even Out. Senior All-American men’s golfer Nathan Franks finished tied for 18th at the NCAA Championship. He finished even par after four rounds of championship play. His performance moved him to No. 21 in the final PGA TOUR University Rankings.

🔺 Chasing More. Gamecock track & field will compete at the NCAA East Regional in Jacksonville, Florida this week! The men’s team features 15 entries and will begin competition today. The women’s team also has 15 entries in 12 events and they will begin competition tomorrow.

🔺 Fab Five. South Carolina softball placed five on the CSC Academic All-District team! Sam Gress, Nealy Lamb, Arianna Rodi, Emily Vinson, and Lexi Winters earned the honor that recognizes the nation’s top-student athlete for their performances on the diamond and in the classroom.
