Mike Uva, a transplant from New England, has made a name for himself as a Gamecock insider, covering South Carolina athletics for a decade. 🔺 Golden Girl. South Carolina softball’s Arianna Rodi has been named the Rawlings Gold Glove Award winner for her defensive play at first base! She becomes the first SEC first baseman to win the award and the first award winner in Gamecock history. She had a .995 fielding percentage in 58 games this season.

🔺 Watchin’ Season. It’s officially watch list season for college football! Dylan Stewart and Jalon Kilgore have been named to the 2025 Lott IMPACT Trophy watch list. The award goes to the nation’s top defensive player who also exhibits the characteristics of Ronnie Lott by making an IMPACT on and off the field.

🔺 Rain Or Shine. South Carolina track & field saw Channing Ferguson qualify for the NCAA Championship in the men’s long jump on Wednesday night. David Warmington, Jaouad Khchina, and Josiah Wrice also advanced to the quarterfinals in their respective events. CJ Licata and Dylan Targgart punched tickets to the NCAA Championship in the men’s shot put yesterday.

On the women’s side, the Gamecocks secured seven advancements into tomorrow’s quarterfinals.
