"Schnall Ball" has landed in Columbia! Here's your very first chance to hear from new University of South Carolina head baseball coach, Kevin Schnall. After spending more than two decades at Coastal Carolina, the 2025 Baseball America College Coach of the Year takes over for the Gamecocks, ready to compete in the SEC. In his first appearance as Carolina's new skipper, Schnall shares his philosophy on hitting, the transfer portal, and why now was the right time to make the move to USC.

🔺 Schnall Call. South Carolina announced that Kevin Schnall, former head coach at Coastal Carolina, has been named the head baseball coach at South Carolina. Schnall led Coastal Carolina to a national runner-up finish in 2025 and was named National Coach of the Year. He brings a proven track record of success, including a national championship as an assistant coach at Coastal Carolina in 2016.

🎉 Welcome Party

🔺 Big Four. Four South Carolina football players were recognized on Phil Steele’s Preseason All-America and/or All-SEC teams. Dylan Stewart and Vicari Swain were named first-team All-SEC and second-team All-America, while Nyck Harbor and Fred Johnson received All-SEC honors.

🔺 Award Season. Gamecock women’s golfers Vairana Heck and Eila Galitsky were named Golfweek Honorable Mention All-Americans! Galitsky is currently ranked 10th in the World Amateur Golf Rankings entering the summer.

🔺 New Addition. South Carolina women’s golf announced the signing of Nicole Koong, a transfer from Cal Poly. She was a two-time All-Big West honoree and logged a 73.70 scoring average in 65 career rounds played.
