🔺 Earning Their (Stars &) Stripes. Not one, but ✌️ Gamecocks put points on the board on the opening day of the NCAA Outdoor Championships in Eugene on Wednesday.

CJ Licata and Dylan Targgart combined for six points, each individually earning First Team All-American honors. The duo also marks the first time in program history that the Gamecock men have a pair of scorers in the shot put at the same NCAA Outdoor Championship. They accomplished the feat for the first time in program history at the 2025 NCAA Indoor Championship as well.

Licata placed fifth overall as he threw 20.15m (66-1.5) for his first Outdoor First Team All-American honor of his collegiate career. Targgart placed seventh in the standings after throwing 19.48m (63-11), scoring for the second consecutive year. Targgart earns his second consecutive Outdoor First Team All-American nod with his seventh place finish.

🔺 Teein’ It Up. Today in Western PA, one of our own will be teein’ it up against the best the country has to offer.

Frankie Harris is one of just 15 amateurs among the field at the US Open at Oakmont Country Club this week.

The Gamecock standout is set to tee-off at 2:31 pm.

🔺 Hall Gets The Call. The summer is meant for traveling and for former Gamecock Bree Hall, she’s heading to the Pacific Northwest.

This week, Hall signed on to join the brand new 3XBA league for Spokane Hoopfest later this month.

In Spokane, 3XBA is hosting a Pro Women’s FIBA 3x3 tournament at the largest 3-on-3 basketball event in the world. Hoopfest draws 250,000 people to the city of Spokane each year with over 6,000 teams playing on 425 courts, which span 45 city blocks. Hoopfest is a community event that goes beyond basketball.

Our 3XBA event will feature 32 of the most elite basketball players in the country competing in the official Olympic 3x3 format. The tournament serves as a FIBA 3x3 Women’s Series Qualifier, and the winning roster will earn a bid to the Edmonton stop of the FIBA 3x3 Women’s Series, August 1-2.
