After spending more than two decades at Coastal Carolina, the 2025 Baseball America College Coach of the Year takes over for the Gamecocks, ready to compete in the SEC. In his first appearance as Carolina's new skipper, Schnall shares his philosophy on hitting, the transfer portal, and why now was the right time to make the move to USC.

🔺 Bahamas Bound. South Carolina men’s basketball is going back on a foreign tour this summer! They’ll play a pair of exhibition games at the 2026 Baha Mar Hoops Summer League in the Bahamas. New NCAA rules allow college teams to take a foreign tour annually. The Gamecocks begin summer workouts next week.

🔺 On The Course, In The Classroom. South Carolina had three golfers named to CSC Academic All-District teams! Vairana Heck and Maylis Lamoure earned spots on the women’s at-large team. Heck will advance to the ballot for CSC Academic All-America. Marek Fleming made the men’s at-large team.

🔺 Books & Beach. Gamecock beach volleyball’s Jolie Cranford and Brooke Balue landed on the CSC Academic All-District team! Cranford owned a perfect 4.0 GPA while studying exercise science.
