As we wrap up our year-long celebration of 50 years of women’s sports at the University of South Carolina, we take a look back at some of the most influential voices that got it all started. From the first female athletes receiving a scholarship, to the ones who helped change the game along the way, these women laid the foundation for the incredible success we’re seeing today.

📈 STOCK UP

🔺 Put In Work. South Carolina softball players Arianna Rodi and Lexi Winters were named to the CSC Academic All-America team! Rodi, with a perfect 4.0 GPA, set records with 17 home runs and 49 walks, while Winters, also with a 4.0 GPA, had 53 RBIs and six home runs.

🔺 Matchups Made. South Carolina men’s basketball’s matchups for the Greenbrier Tip-Off have been announced! They’ll play Butler on November 21 and Northwestern on November 23. All games will be televised on CBS Sports Network, with tip times coming at a later date.

🔺 On Site. The South Carolina women’s basketball team will play 16 SEC games in the 2025-26 season, including four top-20 teams and two other NCAA Tournament participants at home. The Gamecocks will host Texas, Tennessee, Ole Miss, Mississippi State, Missouri, Georgia, and Vanderbilt. They’ll travel to LSU, Oklahoma, Kentucky, Arkansas, Auburn, Florida, and Texas A&M. They’ll play Alabama twice in a home-and-home series. The SEC season will begin on January 1, 2026, and conclude with the SEC Tournament in Greenville, South Carolina.
