"Schnall Ball" has landed in Columbia! Here's your very first chance to hear from new University of South Carolina head baseball coach, Kevin Schnall. After spending more than two decades at Coastal Carolina, the 2025 Baseball America College Coach of the Year takes over for the Gamecocks, ready to compete in the SEC. In his first appearance as Carolina's new skipper, Schnall shares his philosophy on hitting, the transfer portal, and why now was the right time to make the move to USC.

🔺 Made The Cut. Gamecock men’s golfer Marek Fleming made the cut at the U.S. Open over the weekend! He tied for 56th at 10-over after firing scores of 72-72-74-72. Head coach Rob Bradley served as his caddie for the 72-hole Major Championship walk. Fleming was one of just five amateurs to make the cut and one of three college amateurs inside the 4-over cutline.

🔺 Gamechanger. Williams-Brice Stadium was ranked 16th on EA Sports College Football 27 - Toughest Places to Play list! The stadium currently holds 77,559 fans, making it more populated than all but four cities in South Carolina on gameday. Williams-Brice is currently under construction as part of the Williams-Brice Reimagined project.

🔺 Fantastic Four. Four Gamecocks secured Team USA spots for the World U20 Championships! Incoming freshman D’Anna Cotton had the highest placement among Gamecocks, winning the triple jump at the USATF U20 Championships. Kaleb Burroughs placed runner-up in the men’s 800m to secure his spot. Justin Arogundade earned silver in the men’s triple jump and Cameron Tucker will compete on the men’s 4×400m relay team.
