🔺 Catch Up. Gamecock baseball’s KJ Scobey proudly wore USA across his chest at the USA Baseball Collegiate National Team Training Camp recently. The feeling was different, the competition was awesome, but the talent remained as he hit around .350. It wasn’t always just baseball for Scobey, who thought about pursuing a career in golf. That decision paid off when he was selected as one of the premier non-draft-eligible players in college baseball. Read more about his experience and who KJ Scobey really is!

🔺 All-Star Roster. Three Gamecocks are WNBA All-Stars! Aliyah Boston was Caitlin Clark’s first pick to Team Clark. A’ja Wilson was also selected by Team Clark. Allisha Gray was selected to Team Collier by Napheesa Collier. The WNBA All-Star game will be held at the Indiana Fever’s Gainbridge Fieldhouse on July 19.

🔺 Best Wishes. Charles Waddell is retiring as South Carolina’s Deputy Athletics Director after nearly two decades with the Gamecocks. He reflects on the significant changes in college athletics, emphasizing the importance of financial literacy and guidance for student-athletes. Waddell plans to spend his retirement with family, particularly his grandchildren, and hopes to engage with underserved youth.
