🔺 Checking In. The MLB All-Star Break is here, so let’s take a look at how the former Gamecocks are doing in The Show.
Carlos Cortes started the season strong and is now hitting .279 with 20 runs scored, 11 doubles, six home runs, and 23 RBI for the Athletics.
Brett Kerry made his Major League debut for the Los Angeles Angels last month. He threw four innings of relief with a pair of strikeouts.
Carmen Mlodzinski has made nine starts for the Pittsburgh Pirates this season, totaling 20 appearances. He’s 6-3 with a 3.24 ERA and 64 strikeouts.
Jordan Montgomery has been making rehab starts in the Texas Rangers organization. He’s recorded 11 strikeouts in five starts between Frisco and Round Rock.
TJ Shook also made his MLB debut last month. He has made four appearances for the Colorado Rockies in a pair of MLB stints. He has six strikeouts in 5.2 innings of work.
Christian Walker has had another great year with the Houston Astros. He’s hitting .237 with 50 runs scored, 19 doubles, 20 home runs, and 58 RBI.
