Demetrius Knight Jr. — From under-recruited to second round pick, who doesn't love an underdog story? Demetrius Knight played sparingly his first four years in college, but became a fan favorite in a matter of a few months in the Garnet & Black. D-Knight joins the Tailgate right after his life-changing phone call on NFL Draft night.

🔺 Keep The Streak. South Carolina’s beach and indoor volleyball teams each received the AVCA Team Academic Award for maintaining a 3.3 GPA or higher. The beach team has received the award for 11 consecutive years, while the indoor team has a 16-year streak.

🔺 Shining Armor. Former Gamecock linebacker Demetrius Knight Jr. officially signed with the Cincinnati Bengals! The team drafted him in the second round of the 2025 NFL Draft.

🔺 Class Act. Former Gamecock GG Jackson was honored at one of the NBA Summer League games in Las Vegas for his contributions to St. Jude! Jackson is currently playing for the Memphis Grizzlies.
