🔺 Familiar Foe. South Carolina men’s basketball will take on Maryland for the first time since 2005! The former ACC foes will meet on Dec. 19 in Baltimore. TV information and tip-off time will be announced at a later date.

🔺 New Heights. Former South Carolina quarterback/receiver Jay Urich is running in the New York City Marathon in November. He’s racing to raise money for Empower, a Boston non-profit that mentors children and young adults who have lost a parent. After graduating from South Carolina, he spent a couple of years working in the Athletics Department’s Student-Athlete Development office. Shortly after, he went on to found Banner Player Development.

🔺 New Additions. South Carolina beach volleyball announced the addition of two staff members! Shannon Stone and Billy Maciel join the program as assistant coaches. Stone spent last season at Coastal Carolina and Maciel brings a load of international experience and a championship-level perspective to Columbia.
