🔺 For The USA. Gamecock baseball’s JD Stein was selected to the 2026 USA Baseball Collegiate National Team! He will play with the Stars & Stripes in Taiwan at the inaugural World Collegiate Baseball Championship from July 11-15. He transferred to South Carolina after playing his freshman season at Wake Forest.

🔺 New Staffers. Gamecock baseball added a pair of new staffers for next season! Kyle Lindquist will serve as the defensive coordinator/infield coach and Dan Valerio has been hired as assistant recruiting coordinator/field coordinator.

🔺 Rest Easy, Coach. Former South Carolina men’s tennis coach Kent DeMars passed away at 82. A coaching legend, he led the Gamecocks to 18 NCAA Tournament appearances and was inducted into multiple halls of fame. DeMars also established the men’s tennis program at SIU Edwardsville, leading them to seven consecutive NCAA DII National Championships.
