Every week in the SEC is a battle in the trenches. Between his playing days and coaching career, no one understands that better than Travian Robertson. But all those battles were preparing him for one he never saw coming: the fight for his life.

🔺 What’s New At Williams-Brice. There are a lot of new enhancements this season at Williams-Brice Stadium! Phase 1 of the Williams-Brice Reimagined Project is nearly finished. This phase focuses on reducing wait times, improving fan convenience, and allowing supporters to spend more time in their seats. Some of this phase features more restroom fixtures across the stadium and more concession areas.

🔺 Comin’ Home Happy. South Carolina men’s basketball used a lockdown defense to beat The Bahamas National Team 86-46 yesterday. The Gamecocks held them to 23.7 percent from the field and forced 14 turnovers. Kory Mincy led South Carolina with seven assists, adding 15 points. The Gamecock come home from The Bahamas 2-0.

🔺 Player To Coach. Former South Carolina shortstop Peter Mooney played a pivotal role in the 2011 College World Series Championship season. After a successful 11-year professional career, he transitioned to coaching, currently serving as the bench coach for the Memphis Redbirds. Mooney is excited to return to Columbia for the induction of the 2010 and 2011 teams into the USC Association of Lettermen’s Athletics Hall of Fame.

🔺 First Pro Win. Former Gamecock men’s golfer Frankie Harris snagged his first career professional win on the Korn Ferry Tour! He won the Pinnacle Bank Championship as he defeated Alistair Docherty on the second playoff hole. The tournament marked his sixth Korn Ferry start.

🔺 Made An Impact. Gamecock women’s basketball sophomore Ayla McDowell helped Brazil’s national team to a third-place finish at the FIBA South American AmeriCup Qualifier last week. The result sealed Brazil’s spot in the 2027 FIBA AmeriCup! McDowell played in four of five games, averaging 4.8 points, 2.5 rebounds, and 1.3 assists.
