The Story: My Motivation — The in-season weekly docuseries, "The Story" returns this fall, and episode one is out now! As the offseason winds down, Gamecocks past and present are gearing up for new chapters. For linebacker Demetrius Knight Jr. that means starting his NFL career. A journey that comes with extra motivation for the married father of two. For defensive coordinator Clayton White, that means replacing him and several other starters from a talented defense. Both are ready for their new challenges as the 2025 season nears.

🔺 Building A Stronger South Carolina. The University of South Carolina and Blanchard Machinery announced a strategic partnership to enhance Gamecock Athletics and support stadium renovations. The partnership, extending Blanchard’s five-year sponsorship, includes displaying Blanchard logos on the field at Williams-Brice Stadium starting with the 2025 home opener. Beyond on-field visibility, Blanchard will participate in the Gamecocks’ Student-Athlete Development Program and continue sponsoring various sports programs.

🔺 Ranked & Ready. Gamecock football came in at No. 13 in the AP Preseason Poll! This is the first time the Gamecocks have been ranked in the AP Preseason Poll since 2014 when they were ranked ninth. The Gamecocks also came in at No. 13 in the FWAA-NFF Super 16 Poll.

🔺 Wrecking Ball. Gamecock edge rusher Dylan Stewart has been named to the Chuck Bednarik Award Watch List! The award is presented to the best defensive player in college football. He was also named to the ESPN Preseason All-America team.
