Every week in the SEC is a battle in the trenches. Between his playing days and coaching career, no one understands that better than Travian Robertson. But all those battles were preparing him for one he never saw coming: the fight for his life.

🔺 Sunday Soccer. South Carolina women’s soccer hits the road for the first time this season. They’ll play at No. 18 Wake Forest on Sunday at 5 p.m. on ACC Network Extra. The Gamecocks are coming off a season-opening win over Oregon State.

🔺 Highly-Touted Transfers. South Carolina softball secured the nation’s No. 3 ranked transfer class by 64 Analytics. The class of eight includes Brooke Bennett, Bella Foran, Irianis Garcia, Kaytlin Greenwood, Kristin Griffin, Jacy Harrelson, Saviya Morgan, and Morgan Sharpe.

🔺 In The Pit. Former Gamecock outfielder Kennedy Jones saw his baseball career derailed by injuries. He moved to another sport, NASCAR. He is now a tire changer and road crew mechanic for Team Penske in the NASCAR Cup Series. He joined the pit crew through his brother and is working towards becoming a full-time pit crew member. While he misses baseball, he enjoys the competition and travel opportunities his new career offers.
