The Story: My Motivation — As the offseason winds down, Gamecocks past and present are gearing up for new chapters. For linebacker Demetrius Knight Jr. that means starting his NFL career. A journey that comes with extra motivation for the married father of two. For defensive coordinator Clayton White, that means replacing him and several other starters from a talented defense. Both are ready for their new challenges as the 2025 season nears.

📈 STOCK UP

🔺 Brace Yourself. Gamecock women’s soccer beat South Florida 3-1 in the home opener! Katie Shea Collins recorded a brace in the second half. Kinley Brown scored the other Gamecock goal. They’ll stick around to host Ohio State on Thursday at 7 p.m.

🔺 Full Slate. The women’s basketball non-conference schedule is here! Seven of the 15 opponents were 2025 NCAA Tournament teams. Dawn Staley welcomes back former assistant coaches Winston Gandy and Fred Chmiel to start the season against Grand Canyon on Nov. 3 and Bowling Green on Nov. 7. The season-opening homestand will wrap up on No. 11 when the Gamecocks host Clemson. They’ll take trips to the West Coast for The Real SC game and the Players Era Women’s Championship. The Gamecocks will also face ACC/SEC Challenge opponent Louisville and make a weekend trip to Florida before closing out the pre-SEC slate against Providence.

🔺 On Course. The 2025-26 men’s golf schedule has also arrived! The Gamecocks will play in nine regular season events with four in the fall and five in the spring. South Carolina will host two tournaments, starting with the inaugural Bryan Bros Collegiate Sept. 29-30.
