🎥 THE STORY

The Story: Brotherly Love — Just about every team in the country tries to make their locker room feel like a family, but few truly accomplish it. In Columbia, when Shane Beamer and the Gamecocks preach "family," it goes further than a figurative slogan. For the Kilgores and Sellers, bringing their brotherly love to the collegiate level is a dream come true.

🔺 Freed Sul. Transfer running back Rashul Faison has been granted an additional year of eligibility and will be able to compete for the Gamecocks this season. He earned All-Mountain West Conference honors at Utah State last season, where he rushed for 1,109 yards and eight touchdowns.

🔺 High Hopes. Offensive lineman Shedrick Sarratt Jr. was named to the Shaun Alexander Freshman of the Year Award Watch List! He was named South Carolina’s Newcomer of the Spring for the Offense. Gamecock edge rusher Dylan Stewart was a finalist for the award last season.

🔺 Beyond Measure. Dawn Staley announced the 2025-26 South Carolina women’s basketball team theme, “Beyond Measure,” reflecting the program’s core values and the growth of women’s basketball. The theme celebrates the legacy of the program, including every player’s jersey number from the Staley era.

🔺 Road Woes. The men’s soccer team fell at No. 6 Clemson 4-1 last night. Mike Habel scored the lone Gamecock goal, assisted by Matthew DeJianna for the second time this season. Goalkeeper Filip Versterre recorded five saves. They’ll return home for the home opener on Friday night when they host USC Upstate.

🔺 Non-Con Slate. Gamecock men’s basketball will play 10 of their 13 non-conference games at Colonial Life Arena! They’ll open the season against NC A&T on November 4. They’ll hit the road for The Greenbrier Tip-Off in November, then for the SC Education Lottery Palmetto Series at Clemson in December.
