Tailgate Talks: Vanderbilt Week with Casey Hayward — Who wants some SEC football? Vanderbilt comes to Willy-B this Saturday, so Stephen and Pat invited an old foe-turned-friend onto the show this week to talk up his Commodores. NFL pro-bowl defensive back Casey Hayward previews the weekend matchup, shares some NFL stories, and reconnects with a certain USC quarterback that loved throwing him the ball.

🔺 From The Desk. South Carolina Athletics Director Jeremiah Donati thanks fans for their support and updates them on recent achievements in the ninth edition of From the Desk of Jeremiah Donati. The Gamecocks’ women’s soccer team is ranked 17th, and the football team is 2-0. Donati also discusses the need for standardized NIL rules. Plus, multiple Gamecocks have earned plenty of league honors.

🔺 Trophy Talk. Gamecock women’s golfer Eila Galitsky won the ANNIKA Intercollegiate, becoming the third-straight Gamecock to win the individual title. She was crowned co-medalist alongside Wake Forest’s Chloe Kovelesky at 9-under par. The 12th-ranked Gamecocks finished sixth in the strong field.

🔺 Fell In Four. Gamecock volleyball lost to NC State 3-1 last night in the inaugural Showdown at the Net. The Wolfpack edged South Carolina by only one in kills. Alayna Johnson led the team with 15 kills, while Nia Hall had 14. South Carolina returns home to host No. 25 North Carolina tomorrow.

🔺 It’s A Date. The SEC softball schedule is here! Conference play will begin March 6-8 when South Carolina hosts defending National Champion Texas. They’ll also host LSU, Florida, and Texas A&M. The 2026 SEC Softball Tournament will be held at Kentucky.
