🎥 THE STORY

The Story: All Eyes on Us - It ended in heartbreak, but the world got to see that Gamecock football is for real. With the national spotlight of College Gameday in town, along with a ranked LSU team, Columbia, South Carolina was the place to be. Relive the pageantry of last Saturday and hear how the team plans to only keep climbing from here, on the newest chapter of The Story.

🏈 GAMEDAY IN COLUMBIA

It’s Family Weekend in Columbia and South Carolina football plays Akron tomorrow under the lights of Williams-Brice. Kickoff is set for 7:35 p.m. and fans staying home can watch live on ESPNU.

• Light up Williams-Brice Stadium! Download the Gamecocks App and when it’s time, open the app, click on the menu icon and select Gamecock Lights, presented by Coca-Cola.

• Gamecock Village presented by Farm Bureau Insurance will open at 3 p.m. There will be live music, a big screen with games around the country, and food and drinks. It’s inflatable fun day so bring the kids! Select softball, baseball, and men’s basketball student-athletes will be signing autographs between 3 and 5:40 p.m.

• Head to the Gamecocks+ tent in Gamecock Village and meet Stephen Garcia and Patrick DiMarco as they host an open mic Tailgate Talks from 4:30-5:30 p.m. Fans can ask the guys questions, chat, or just hangout!

📈 STOCK UP

🔺 CZ Party. The women’s soccer team won their first SEC match of the year at Georgia last night, 2-1! Corinna Zullo and Cuyler Zulauf scored the Gamecock goals. South Carolina’s defense held the Bulldogs to just five shots on goal. The Gamecocks return home to host No. 20 Kentucky on Sunday at 2 p.m.

🔺 We Are SC. The men’s soccer team starts Sun Belt play tonight as they host No. 10 Marshall at 7 p.m. It’s double point night for students, free Backyard Soccer posters for the first 100 fans, and there’s a scarf ticket pack available! There’s no reason for Stone Stadium to have empty seats!

🔺 Tee Time. The fourth-ranked women’s golf team hits the course again this weekend! They’ll play at the Mason Rudolph Championship at Vanderbilt Legends Club, starting today. They look for their second straight win to start the season after winning the ANNIKA Intercollegiate. The South Carolina lineup features Hannah Darling, Louise Rydqvist, Maylis Lamoure, Mia Sandtorv Lussand, Vairana Heck, and Sophia Burnett.

🔺 Our State. Volleyball hits the road to Clemson for the Palmetto Series presented by South Carolina Education Lottery! They’ll play at 6 p.m. today on the ACCNX. This will be the final non-conference match for the Gamecocks. The Tigers enter the match with a 6-2 overall record, coming off three wins at Appalachian State. South Carolina is 8-2 and coming off a sweep of East Carolina.
