🔺 Pro. South Carolina women’s basketball is going “Pro” in 2026-27. Dawn Staley’s latest season theme challenges the Gamecocks to bring a professional approach to everything they do, from preparation and accountability to leadership and execution. It’s the latest in a tradition of annual themes Staley has used to set the tone for her program since 2012-13.
🔺 Family Man. Family taught Isaiah Whittaker-Francis discipline and sacrifice. Growing up as the youngest of five in Brampton, Ontario, he especially looked up to his older sister Kristina, who helped raise him, as well as his parents, whose sacrifices allowed him to pursue soccer. He fell in love with the sport at age six and eventually made his way to Division I soccer. Now, after battling back from his first major injury, the senior captain is using those lessons to help lead a tight-knit Gamecock squad off to a red-hot start.
No. 4 Gamecock men’s soccer will host Charleston tonight at 7 p.m. on ESPN+. It’s Senior Night, so come out and support the undefeated Gamecocks!
