🎥 THE STORY

The Story: All Eyes on Us - It ended in heartbreak, but the world got to see that Gamecock football is for real. With the national spotlight of College Gameday in town, along with a ranked LSU team, Columbia, South Carolina was the place to be. Relive the pageantry of last Saturday and hear how the team plans to only keep climbing from here, on the newest chapter of The Story.

📈 STOCK UP

🔺 Do You Remember? The 21st night of September was pretty great for Gamecock fans! Robby Ashford stepped up to the plate with LaNorris Sellers injured, and he did not disappoint. He threw for 243 yards and two touchdowns, plus he ran for 133 yards and a touchdown. Mazeo Bennett and JuJu McDowell were on the receiving end of those two touchdowns. Oscar Adaway added two rushing touchdowns. The Gamecocks dominated Akron, 50-7.

🔺 Handing Out L’s. The women’s soccer team moved to 2-0-0 in SEC play yesterday! They gave No. 20 Kentucky their first loss of the season in a 1-0 win. Katie Shae Collins scored the lone goal of the game off a penalty kick. The Gamecocks will return to the pitch on Thursday, hosting Mississippi State.

🔺 Our State. The volleyball team swept Clemson on Friday night to close the non-conference slate! Riley Whitesides led the team with 18 kills. The win gives South Carolina a point in the Palmetto Series, presented by the South Carolina Education Lottery. They’ll begin SEC play on Friday, hosting Mississippi State.

🔺 In The Running. The fourth-ranked women’s golf team finished runner-up at the Mason Rudolph Championship. The Gamecocks shot 25-under for the entire tournament. Hannah Darling came close to winning her second-straight tournament, earning a second-place finish. She now has 13 top-five finishes in her career.

🔺 Three-Of-A-Kind. We knew it was coming, but it’s still just as magical as the first time. Former Gamecock and current Las Vegas Ace A’ja Wilson was named WNBA MVP for the third time in her career! This season, she became the first player ever to score 1,000+ points in a season while leading the league in blocks and rebounds.
