He Did Something Right That Day. Trey Knox’s love of the game came from his dad, but the lessons he took from his parents go so much further than that. The transfer tight end joined the Gamecock Talk podcast this week to talk about the beginning of his career, his childhood playing ball, and Coach Stepp coming into his high school gym and beating him at HORSE. We’re covering it all with Trey in this all-new episode of Gamecock Talk!

📈 STOCK UP

🔼 Record Scratch. Judy Kosgei is an absolute superstar for the Gamecocks! She’s now the owner of yet another South Carolina record, this time grabbing the top spot in the history books in the 6K! Kosgei finished her race at the Paul Run Short in 19:45.9.

🔼 Cardiac Cat. The legend of Cat Barry grows! The senior forward found the back of the net in the game’s last five minutes to give South Carolina a thrilling 2-1 come-from-behind win over Auburn. The Gamecocks trailed late in the game before freshman Reagan Schubach tallied the equalizer in the 84th minute; Barry followed that up two minutes later with the game-winner.

The Gamecocks are back on the pitch on October 4 in Stone Stadium to take on LSU.

🔼 Weekend Recap. The Gamecocks represented across a variety of different sports this weekend! Gamecock men’s soccer tallied a 1-1 draw against James Madison behind a goal from Adam Luckhurst, while freshman Jelani Sarr led the way for South Carolina men’s tennis at the ITA All-American Championships. Sarr earned two wins on Saturday afternoon during the tournament’s prequalifiers.

Women’s swimming & diving opened its season with a win, while No. 8 Equestrian picked up a pair of victories against UT Martin and Lynchburg.

🤔 GAMECOCK TRIVIA
