🔼 Jump Start. South Carolina men’s hoops’ head coach Lamont Paris likes his team’s chemistry ahead of the season’s opening game, and he credits a summer trip to the Bahamas with jumpstarting this group’s bond.

“I can’t say enough about what it does and that the guys get to spend some extra time with each other in a foreign land and all the things that come along with that,” Paris said. “It’s a group that has clicked and gotten along. They’ve spent a lot of time together. I don’t force that. You hope that happens organically and with this group so far it has.”

🔼 Coach’s Keys. Coach Beamer is back with his top keys to the game as South Carolina gets ready to battle Texas A&M this Saturday afternoon on the road.

🔼 Trick Or Treat. Celebrate Halloween with the Gamecocks! South Carolina women’s basketball is hosting an open practice and trick-or-treating session on Tuesday, October 31. It’s free to enter and the first 500 FAMS who turn out will get a free T-shirt. The festivities get underway at 5:00pm ET and ESPN’s SportsCenter will be at Colonial Life Arena to showcase live look-ins at practice. Costumes without masks are permitted! More details here.

🔼 Conference Best. The SEC Cross Country Championship is in Columbia! The competition gets underway today at 10:08am ET at the Charwood Golf Club. Freshman sensation Judy Kosgei will make her much-anticipated debut at the conference championships; she’s won all three of her races this season.
