It’s all a teaser leading up to what will be one of our favorite episodes of The Story as we bring you behind the scenes of what a South Carolina Game Day looks like through the eyes of Todd Ellis and Tommy Suggs. Don’t miss the episode’s debut this Thursday night!
📈 STOCK UP
🔼 Top Spot. Guess who’s back? Gamecock women’s hoops in the top spot in the AP Poll, that’s who! South Carolina claimed the No. 1 spot after two dominant wins over ranked opponents to start the season. It’s the 64th time the program has landed at No. 1, which ranks fourth all-time in the history of the poll.
The Gamecocks are back at it at home on Thursday night against Clemson! We’ll see you there.
🔼 A Weapon. QB LaNorris Sellers made it count when he got into the game on Saturday afternoon, racking up a 36-yard touchdown run to cement the blowout win over the Commodores. After the game, Coach Beamer said Sellers’ success is a product of how hard he works week in and week out during practice, with DC Clayton White noting that Sellers gave his defense “too good of a look” running up to the Vanderbilt game as the scout team quarterback.
“Yeah, he’s a weapon,” Beamer said. “Go back to the Furman game, when he’s coming into the game, good things have happened. So credit him to do like he did.”
🔼 The Home Finale. South Carolina’s regular season schedule will come to a close under the lights at Williams-Brice on November 25. The SEC announced that South Carolina vs. Clemson will get underway at 7:30pm ET with the game televised on the SEC Network.
🔼 A New Era. The schedule is set for South Carolina Track & Field! Coach Tim Hall announced the team’s 2024 slate this week. The Gamecocks will keep busy with 27 meets across 19 weekends.
🔼 Three In A Row. 3-0! Your Gamecock men’s basketball team is a perfect 3-0 to start the season after defeating VMI, 74-64, on Monday night. B.J. Mack led South Carolina with 17 points and 13 rebounds, while Meechie Johnson added 13 and Myles Stute posted 10. Check out some of the top moments from the win here, here, and here.
Next up, the Gamecocks head west to the desert where they’ll take on DePaul on Friday, then play the winner of Grand Canyon vs. San Francisco on Sunday.
🤔 GAMECOCK TRIVIA
Triple Digits. South Carolina women’s basketball has back-to-back 100+ point games, the third time in program history they’ve posted at least 100 points in two straight games. Can you name the other two times that’s happened?

The Gamecocks did it again in 2021, scoring 106 against Vanderbilt on January 14, then 104 against Arkansas on January 18.
