🔼 The Finale. What a phenomenal fall finale for Gamecock volleyball as South Carolina took down No. 8 Tennessee in a straight-set sweep at the Carolina Volleyball Center! The Gamecocks hit .488 as a team, good for the best mark in the SEC during conference play this season. Alayna Johnson finished the game with a career-high 17 kills.

🔼 ICYMI. Gamecock women’s hoops’ hot streak stayed strong on Black Friday, as South Carolina posted its fourth game with at least 100 points scored this season. Kamilla Cardoso tallied a double-double with 14 points and 10 boards, Te-Hina PaoPao added 10 points, and seven Gamecocks finished the game with double figures. The 101-19 win marked the biggest margin of victory in the Dawn Staley era.

The Gamecocks are back on the court on Thursday at UNC as part of the ACC/SEC Challenge.

🔼 Defensive Stalwarts. Defensive improvement is the story of the season for Gamecock football. After the game, Coach Beamer noted: “They were awesome, we kept putting them out there, they kept making stops.”

As 247sports writes, the South Carolina defense put the team in a position to win the last three weeks. Linebacker Debo Williams, who finished the season with a team-leading 113 tackles, talked about the improvements after the game:

“Just coming to work every single day, regardless of (whether) we had just lost or just had a win, just come in every single day trying to win a championship every single week, so just came to work.”
