🔼 Take ‘Em Down. Down goes No. 1! South Carolina men’s soccer notched its first-ever win over the nation’s No. 1 team on Sunday night, taking down UCF, 2-1, in the quarterfinals of the Sun Belt Conference Tournament. South Carolina got goals from Harrison Myring, who tallied his first of the season, and Jack Burgess to score the huge win. Goalie Ben Alexander added five saves as the Gamecocks will play the nation’s No. 7 team, West Virginia, in the tournament semifinals on Wednesday at 7:00pm ET.

🔼 Open It Up. Gamecock women’s basketball wasn’t the only squad on the court to dominate their season opener. The men’s hoops team took down USC Upstate, 82-53, last night at Colonial Life Arena. Meechie Johnson and Ta’Lon Cooper led the way for the Gamecocks with 15 apiece, while B.J. Mack added 13 as South Carolina started the season 1-0.

🔼 Under The Lights. We’ll get to do Williams-Brice under the lights at least once more this season! South Carolina will host Kentucky on November 18 at 7:30pm ET. The game will be on the SEC Network.

🔼 Taking Action. DK Joyner has one goal for his last season in the Garnet & Black: “to leave a positive impact on the community that has given me so much.”

🔼 Tourney Time. Gamecock women’s soccer is ready to dance! The Gamecocks will be the No. 7 seed hosting James Madison University in the opening round of the NCAA Tournament. It’s the 11th straight year that South Carolina has earned a berth in the tourney.
