🔼 Take It Away. South Carolina nabbed four turnovers last Saturday against Jacksonville State, the team’s highest number of takeaways since the Gamecocks played Vanderbilt last season. Coach Beamer and the defense want to see that trend continue when the Gamecocks take on the Commodores this weekend:

“Something that Coach White always says is that takeaways come in bunches,” said linebacker Stone Blanton. “We had a cold streak for sure. I mean, it was rough. We (felt) like we couldn’t pay for a turnover. But once we got that one, they kept coming, they kept coming, they kept coming. That’s what it takes. Once you get that first one, they keep coming… I think last year we started off slow with turnovers too and then we got that one and they kept coming game after game.”

🔼 Forever To Thee. South Carolina announced new additions to its Forever Garnet program this week with a special emphasis on the Forever Garnet Memories pillar. Additions include the ability for graduates to take pictures on the field at Williams-Brice Stadium, fans to book private photo sessions on the field, and enhanced game-day experiences for men’s and women’s basketball. 🔼 Coming Home. South Carolina softball announced its 2024 signing class, and the group is ranked No. 11 in the nation! Get to know our newest Gamecocks here.

🔼 Home Sweet Home. Spencer Rattler has one word to sum up Columbia: “home.”

“I wanted to go somewhere where it meant something to win, the best conference, playing the best teams, that’s going to make you better as a player,” Rattler said of his choice to transfer to South Carolina. “This is my home away from home.”
