Gamecock women’s hoops is on one heck of a mission this season, and with the squad back at No. 1 in the AP Poll, Raven Johnson and the team are showing that they can be just as dominant as any team in South Carolina’s history. We’re sitting down with Raven during this week’s episode of Gamecock Talk as she shares what keeps her motivated, why she loves this year’s team, and where her love of the game all began.

🔼 Best In Conference. Te-Hina Paopao is your SEC Player of the Week! Our superstar tied for team-high scoring with 13.5 points per game last week while shooting 58.8 percent, including 45.5 percent from beyond the arc.

🔼 Draft Ready. The baseball news is starting to pick up, and we’re already ready to be back on the diamond. Ethan Petry was named one of Baseball America’s Top 10 prospects in the 2025 MLB Draft!

🔼 Gridiron Standouts. PFF’s All-SEC offense team is in, and we have a feeling you won’t be surprised by which Gamecock earned a spot on the roster! Meanwhile, Jalon Kilgore landed on 247Sports True Freshman All-America Team after an incredible first year in the Garnet & Black.

🔼 Hall Of Fame. Marcus Lattimore and nine others will be inducted into the South Carolina Athletic Hall of Fame as the Class of 2024. The nine other inductees in the class representing athletic excellence in South Carolina include Clifford Ray, Tyler Thigpen, Oree Banks, Anthony Johnson, Jack Leggett, Allison Feaster, and Wiliam Partlow.

🔼 Gamecocks In The NFL. We’re finished with Week 14 in the NFL and here’s your weekly round-up of how our Gamecocks played in the pros! Jadeveon Clowney added to his standout season and currently has 33 tackles, with seven for a loss, 6.5 sacks, 17 QB hurries, and a forced fumble for the Ravens. Stephon Gilmore came up clutch with nine tackles and a forced fumble for the Cowboys, while Jaycee Horn made seven tackles and broke up a pass for the Panthers.

Ernest Jones posted double-digit tackles yet again, adding 10 tackles, one sack, and one QB hurry to his stat sheet for the season. Javon Kinlaw posted three tackles, half a sack, and a QB hurry for the 49ers, while Zacch Pickens made two tackles and posted a QB hurry in Chicago’s upset win over Detroit. Finally, D.J. Wonnum tallied five tackles, one sack, and a QB hurry in Minnesota’s victory.

On the offensive side of the ball, Deebo Samuel caught seven passes for 149 yards and a touchdown and added a rushing touchdown, while Rico Dowdle found the scoreboard for the Cowboys, rushing 12 times for 46 yards and a touchdown.
