And speaking of Gamecock baseball, Ethan Petry and Cole Messina were both named Perfect Game Preseason All-Americans. Petry landed on the first team, while Messina earned third-team honors.

🔼 On Campus. Adhel Tac is in Columbia! Coach Dawn Staley announced that Tac, a five-star prospect in the Gamecocks’ 2024 class, enrolled early for South Carolina’s spring semester. Tac is considered one of the nation’s top five post players and came in at No. 26 overall in ESPN’s Class of 2024 rankings. Welcome to Columbia!

🔼 1-0. South Carolina women’s hoops is off to a perfect 1-0 start in conference play after downing Florida, 89-66, in Gainesville yesterday. Te-Hina Paopao led the Gamecocks in scoring with 17, while Raven Johnson added 16, Bree Hall added 15, and Kamilla Cardoso and MiLaysia Fulwiley each added 10.
