🔼 Dream Start. We are loving all of the national attention as South Carolina men’s basketball gets ready to hit the court against Alabama tonight. Check out what Jon Rothstein, Jeff Borzello, and Seth Davis had to say about the Gamecocks’ 13-1 start as SEC play continues this evening.
And speaking of Jeff Borzello, the ESPN writer named Lamont Paris the Coach of the Week, noting that Coach Paris “has done an unbelievable job turning things around from a year ago.”

🔼 Conference Best. Meechie Johnson is your SEC Player of the Week! Johnson shined in South Carolina’s first SEC game of the season, finishing with 24 points on 6-of-12 shooting as the Gamecocks took down Mississippi State.
🔼 Gamecocks In The NFL. That’s a wrap on the NFL regular season! So how did our Gamecocks do this year? Ernest Jones made headlines week after week for the Rams, and he ended the regular season with 151 tackles and four sacks. Stephon Gilmore finished out the year with 62 tackles and two interceptions as the Cowboys gear up for the postseason, while Baltimore’s Jadeveon Clowney brings 45 tackles and 9.5 sacks into the playoffs.
Keisean Nixon put a bow on his regular season with 75 tackles and 30 kickoff returns for 658 yards and fellow Packers teammate Kingsley Enagbare logged 37 tackles and two sacks. D.J. Wonnum finished the year with 52 tackles and eight sacks for the Vikings, while Javon Kinlaw posted 23 tackles and 3.5 sacks in San Francisco. Zacch Pickens turned in a nice rookie season for the Bears with 20 tackles and half a sack.
Offensively, Dallas’ Rico Dowdle rushed 89 times for 361 yards and caught 19 passes for 152 yards and two touchdowns, while Deebo Samuel closed out the regular season for the 49ers with 60 catches for 892 yards and six touchdowns, and 55 carries for 225 yards and four scores.
