🔼 Victory In Puerto Vallarta. Gamecock softball is 1-0 in Mexico! No. 20 South Carolina took down No. 13 Utah in walk-off run-rule fashion as Marissa Gonzalez drove in a bases-loaded double for the 9-1 win as the Gamecocks posted a six-run sixth inning. Sage Mardjetko posted three 1-2-3 innings in five on the mound.

🔼 Open It Up. Gamecock Baseball’s Opening Weekend rotation is here! Eli Jones will take the mound this afternoon for South Carolina, while Dylan Eskew will get the nod on Saturday, and Roman Kimball will close out the series on Sunday.

Jones went 4-5 in six starts and 23 appearances with a 3.95 ERA and 63 strikeouts in 54.2 innings last season. Eskew, who is making his first career start in the Garnet & Black, pitched 7.2 innings last season with six strikeouts, and Kimball, who was sidelined in 2023 after undergoing Tommy John surgery, will make his first appearance since transferring from Notre Dame after the 2022 season.

🔼 Conference’s Best. Louise Rydqvist is your SEC Golfer of the Week after shooting two under par across three rounds as South Carolina women’s golf won the San Diego State Classic earlier this week. Rydqvist finished in the top five and was one of just five players out of 63 to break par during the tournament.

🔼 24-0. That’s a 24-0 record for Gamecock women’s basketball after a 66-55 win on the road at Tennessee last night! Kamilla Cardoso picked up right where she left off with an 18-point, 10-rebound double-double, while Ashlyn Watkins turned in a double-double of her own with 14 points and 10 boards. Raven Johnson posted a whopping 15 rebounds as the Gamecocks tied the all-time SEC record with 42 straight regular season conference wins.
