🔼 Hot Bats. Gamecock baseball will take the diamond this afternoon in a midweek match-up against Gardner-Webb. Before they do, let’s dive into the latest edition of the Gamecock Baseball Notebook:

• Talmadge LeCroy scored 10 runs in five games last week for a total of 16 runs scored on the season — good for best in the SEC through Sunday’s slate!

• Dylan Brewer batted a whopping .647 last week and has a .560 batting average on the season

• Cole Messina jacked three homers last week and drove in seven runs

• Eli Jones boasts an incredible 1.00 ERA after two starts in 2024

• Kennedy Jones blasted a lead-off homer and 3 RBI in his first start in left field on Sunday

🔼 Rankings In. And speaking of Gamecock baseball, our guys are up to No. 12 in Baseball America’s rankings, No. 13 in Perfect Game’s rankings, No. 16 in USA Today’s rankings, No. 17 in the NCBWA rankings, and No. 19 in D1 Baseball’s rankings.

In other rankings news, Gamecock men’s hoops rose two spots to No. 18 in this week’s AP Poll, while Gamecock women’s basketball held firm at No. 1.
