🔼 Seven Years Later. The 2017 Gamecock men’s basketball team gave us memories that will last a lifetime during an unforgettable run to the Final Four. What are those guys up to now? 🔼 The Path Back. South Carolina women’s hoops is the No. 1 overall seed for the third year in a row. The Gamecocks will take on the winner of tonight’s play-in game between Sacred Heart and Presbyterian. Check out this full breakdown of South Carolina’s path back to the Final Four.

🔼 She’s Been Everything. And speaking of Gamecock women’s basketball, Bree Hall is a woman on a mission. Hall is ready to erase the taste of last season’s Final Four loss and lead South Carolina to a championship. Here’s how Hall found her voice and became “everything” to this year’s squad.

🔼 A Bright Future. Maddy McDaniel is the 2023-24 Maryland MaxPreps Player of the Year for the second season in a row! The Gamecock women’s basketball signee averaged 17.9 points, 5.0 assists, 4.7 steals, and 3.5 boards per game while leading her high school to the private school state championship.

🔼 Midweek W. Gamecock baseball picked up the midweek win yesterday evening at Fluor Field. South Carolina used a big fourth to power through USC Upstate, 14-8. Kennedy Jones and Blake Jackson hit triples while Ethan Petry belted his eighth homer of the year to get South Carolina out to a 10-2 lead after the top of the fourth. Cole Messina also went yard for his eighth homer of the season, while Blake Jackson hit his first HR of his Gamecock career. The Gamecocks will host Vanderbilt for a weekend series starting Friday night at Founders Park.

🔼 The Zoo Crew. Sports Business Journal’s college sports reporter Ben Portnoy has spent quite a bit of time in Columbia, and, according to the former Gamecock beat reporter, “Lamont Paris is genuinely one of the most likeable dudes I’ve been around.” But after reading this in-depth profile on Paris’ high school fan club, The Zoo Crew, Portnoy says Paris “might be even more likeable.” Why?
