Changing Expectations: Chapter 7: Let’s Dance - It’s been a historic season for South Carolina already, but the Gamecocks have their sights set on even more. After finishing with the most regular season wins in program history, Lamont Paris’ club heads into March confident but hungry. The final chapter isn’t written just yet, but it’s safe to say expectations have changed in Columbia.

🔼 On Her Mark. Te-Hina Paopao sat down with NBC Sports’ Hannah Donnelly to talk all things South Carolina as she and Gamecock women’s basketball get ready for March Madness. Paopao touches on a little bit of everything: winning the SEC title, deciding to come back to Columbia for another season, her biggest ‘pinch-me’ moment in Columbia, and what impact Coach Staley has had on her.

🔼 Award Season. And speaking of Te-Hina Paopao, she and Kamilla Cardoso earned All-America honors from the Associated Press this week! Cardoso landed on the second team, while Paopao earned an honorable mention.

In other women’s college basketball awards, The Sporting News named Dawn Staley its National Coach of the Year, while Cardoso earned All-America second-team honors.

🔼 Been Here Before. South Carolina women’s basketball has done this before. GamecockCentral explores how last year’s squad, who entered the Big Dance undefeated in a quest for a championship, is using those lessons learned to drive them toward their goal of winning it all.

🔼 Golfer Of The Week. Junior Nathan Franks earned SEC Golfer of the Week honors after his second win in three spring starts at the Schenkel Invitational last weekend. Gamecock men’s golf tees off at the Hootie at Bulls Bay Intercollegiate on March 24; admission is free.

🔼 Three Is Better Than Two. No. 16 South Carolina men’s tennis announced the addition of a third match this weekend against Furman. The squad will battle the Paladins on March 24 at 4:00pm ET. With the new match, the previously scheduled match vs. No. 51 Ole Miss will now start at 11:00am ET on Sunday. The Gamecocks are also slated to battle No. 19 Mississippi State on Friday at 5:00pm ET.

🔼 Mark Your Calendars. We’re loving all of the news hot off the gridiron this week! The SEC released its football schedule format for the 2025 season, and South Carolina will welcome Alabama, Kentucky, Oklahoma, and Vanderbilt to Williams-Brice Stadium. Meanwhile, the Gamecocks will hit the road and visit LSU, Ole Miss, Missouri, and Texas A&M.
