Getting to Omaha takes a little bit of everything from everyone. When No. 3 Vanderbilt came to Columbia this season, it was time for Parker Noland and Tyler Pitzer to step up to the plate and step onto the mound, and deliver for the Garnet & Black.

🔼 Making Her Mark. TIME Magazine is profiling The 100 Most Influential People of 2024, and none other than our own A’ja Wilson made the list. NFL legend and part-owner of the Las Vegas Aces Tom Brady wrote the feature on A’ja, noting:

“A’ja Wilson is not just an incredible athlete, she is also an inspiration to all who witness her talent and drive. Her journey is a testament to the power of passion and fearlessness in achieving greatness.”

🔼 Opening Doors. After the TIME Magazine feature on A’ja, Coach Staley — who is always the biggest cheerleader for her current and former players — sent a wonderful message to the NCAA and WNBA champion.

🔼 Dive In. South Carolina swimming & diving had two swimmers make All-SEC. Greta Pelzek landed on the All-SEC Second Team, while Raymond Prosinski earned a spot on the All-SEC Freshman Team. It’s the third year in a row that South Carolina has been represented on either the All-SEC First or Second Team and the All-Freshman Team.

🔼 Spring Is In The Air. Coming out to the spring game on Saturday night? Coach Beamer talked about how much emphasis he puts on the game and how his players perform on the gridiron:

“I’m not one of those guys that looks at the spring game and says it doesn’t matter because it does. It’s another opportunity to go out onto the field and compete. It’s another opportunity to get better. For some guys, quite frankly, they step up when the lights come on, if you will, and they’re gamers.”

We can’t wait to see you out there! The game starts at 7:00pm ET, is free to attend, and will stream live on SEC Network+ for those who can’t attend.
