🔼 Full Of Intrigue. It’s NFL Draft Month! ESPN’s Mel Kiper and Field Yates are breaking down draft boards, and the duo recently discussed Spencer Rattler’s performance and prospects.

“Go to Mississippi State, the Florida game, Vanderbilt, there were games where he was on target, and he was lighting it up," Kiper said of Rattler. "He was outstanding. Talk about letting it rip, seeing it, letting it rip. When he does that, he is at his best. He is competitive. He has a quick release. He has a lot of things working."

🔼 Almost Lost At Sea. Former Gamecock quarterback Chris Smelley had one heck of a day at sea last week. Smelley took his kayak into the water off the Florida coast in the morning, only to soon realize winds would keep him from coming ashore. Smelley estimates the wind pushed him seven or eight miles offshore, and he stayed at sea for hours before eventually being spotted by a search helicopter. For his part, Smelley used lessons from the past to keep calm and stay confident he would be okay. Read more about his saga at sea here.

🔼 Welcome To Columbia. Bulgarian national champion Jana Stojanova is a Gamecock! The Macedonian native will suit up for South Carolina women’s tennis in the fall with four years of eligibility. Stojanova was the U18 Bulgarian national champion in 2022 and her career-high ITF Junior Ranking is 279. Welcome to South Carolina!
