🔼 Spring Season. The 2024 Spring Game is in the books, and Garnet took it over Black, 17-0, in front of an impressive estimated 32,500 fans on Saturday night.

Quarterback LaNorris Sellers drove Garnet down the field for a 75-yard scoring drive on his first possession of the game, going four-for-four for 38 yards through the air and adding 27 yards on three rushes with a 13-yard rushing touchdown.

Sellers orchestrated his second scoring drive of the day with a 10-play, 49-yard effort that ended in a 22-yard field goal to close out the first half. Sellers finished the game 9-of-11 for 70 yards with 38 yards on the ground.

Freshman quarterback Dante Reno rounded out the scoring with a 15-yard touchdown pass to Maurice Brown in the second half.

Sellers earned the Joe Morrison Offensive Player of the Spring Award, while DQ Smith picked up both the Rex Enright Defensive Player of the Spring Award and the Jim Carlen Special Teams Player of the Spring Award.

🔼 Diamond Report. Gamecock baseball went 2-2 during the week as the squad knocked off The Citadel before winning the second game in a three-game series against the No. 2 Arkansas Razorbacks.

  • Will Tippett belted his third homer of the season

  • Cole Messina snagged his 100th career RBI on Saturday afternoon

  • Matthew Becker leads the pitching staff with five wins

  • Austin Brinling made his first start as a Gamecock this weekend and went 4-for-10 with a double, two runs scored, two RBIs, and three walks in three games against Arkansas

The Gamecocks are back at it next weekend from April 26-28 against No. 3 Kentucky.

🔼 Art & Basketball. This painting of Kamilla Cardoso created entirely by painting with a basketball (yes, you read that right!) is absolutely epic. We can’t wait to see it hanging in the Louvre.
