🔼 From Revenge To Repeat. Raven Johnson has been on a revenge tour all season long. She talked to Gamecocks+ in December about her singular mission for the season, and, in Raven’s own words on Sunday afternoon, “The revenge tour is over!”

After the game, Raven talked about her mentality heading into the championship game as she prepared to defend Caitlin Clark: “Don’t let her score. I was ready for the moment. And I take defense very hard, like I take it to heart. I studied her moves, and I was ready. I had confidence this year. I was telling myself last year’s not going to happen again.”

On Sunday, it was mission accomplished for Raven and Gamecock women’s basketball, and yesterday, Raven announced her new focus for 2025: “It’s time for the repeat tour.”

On Track. After all the excitement of a national championship coming home to Columbia, let’s check in on some of our other Gamecock athletes! South Carolina Track & Field picked up 10 wins at the Gamecock Invitational over the weekend. The women’s team stayed hot, collecting six victories as the 4×100m relay squad ran a 43.94 for the win. The Gamecock women also nabbed wins in the 1500m, the 5000m, pole vault, long jump, and discus. On the men’s side, the Gamecocks won the 4×100m relay, hammer, high jump, and discus. Full results here.

🔼 News From The Diamond. South Carolina baseball closed out its weekend series against Texas A&M with a Sunday afternoon win, giving the Gamecocks a perfect 4-0 record in the final game of all of its conference series this season.

Gavin Casas’ bat stayed hot with five hits over the weekend, including three in Sunday’s finale, giving him a .379 batting average in South Carolina’s last 10 games. Ty Good remains dominant on the mound after a relief outing on Saturday where he pitched 5.2 innings of relief with six strikeouts and one unearned run. On the season, Good is 4-0 with a 1.93 ERA and 35 strikeouts in 28 innings.

South Carolina is back at it today vs. North Carolina in Charlotte at 7:00pm ET. You can catch the game live on the ACC Network.
