​🔼 On To Scottsdale. It’s tee time in the desert! Gamecock women’s golf finished second in the Athens Regional to advance to the NCAA Championship in Scottsdale later this month. South Carolina was the only team to finish Day 3 under par, going six under yesterday, to finish all 54 holes 11 under par. Georgia, San Jose State, Ole Miss, and Augusta also move out of the region and will head to Arizona.

🔼 Next Up. That’s a win for South Carolina softball in their opening match-up of the SEC Tournament! The Gamecocks downed Texas A&M 1-0 in extra innings yesterday to advance. This epic catch from Marissa Gonzalez in the bottom of the eighth inning robbed the Aggies of the game-tying home run. South Carolina is back at it this afternoon at 5 p.m. ET against Georgia.

🔼 Time To Shine. The SEC Outdoor Championships start in Baton Rouge today for Gamecock Track & Field! It’s the last opportunity to earn a spot in the NCAA East Regional; the Gamecocks currently have 22 qualifying marks. The competition runs through Saturday and you can find the schedule here, then keep up with live results here.

🔼 Overseas Standout. Former Gamecock star Mikiah Herbert Harrigan earned a spot on the All-WBBL Team of the Year! Herbert Harrigan, who played for the London Lions, earned MVP of the Betty Codona WBBL Trophy Final. She averaged 18.7 points per game during the regular season, good for second in the league, hit 46.6% of her three-pointers, good for first in the league, and made 80.5% of her free throws, good for third in the league.

🔼 Daddy Daycare. Dakereon Joyner’s current plans this month? “The month of May, full-time dad. Daddy daycare, for sure. In the morning time, I try to get up early and get my rehab in and make sure my body is taken care of,” Joyner told 107.5 The Game. “Most of the day, I’m being a dad.”
