How To Become A Pitcher. Donnie Gobourne is the first South Carolina softball player drafted to the WPF in the last 10 years, but did you know the first-team All-SEC pitcher wasn’t always a pitcher?

The latest episode of Gamecock Talk features Donnie Gobourne and how she went from a shortstop to one of the most dominant pitchers in the game.

🔼 Global Game. There’s no rest this offseason for Raven Johnson who was one of eight players to earn a spot on the USA AmeriCup team. The soon-to-be South Carolina redshirt sophomore will head to Mexico with the team for the AmeriCup Tournament from July 1 - 9 where she may square off against fellow Gamecock teammate Kamilla Cardoso, who plays for the Brazilian national team.

🔼 First Round. It’s a big year coming up for Spencer Rattler and all NFL eyes will be on QB1 this season. CBS Sports’ Cameron Salerno writes that Rattler is one of seven quarterbacks with an opportunity to play his way into the first round of the NFL Draft.

​🔼 Growing The Game. Aliyah Boston loves to talk about growing women’s basketball, and one young fan who showed up to meet the Indiana Fever’s first-round draft picks is proof positive that Aliyah is making one heck of a difference for young girls who love the game.

​🔼 On Par. Hannah Darling is once again being recognized for being one of the best in the business! Darling was named a finalist for the ANNIKA Award for the second straight season. The honor is given every year to the best female D1 golfer.

Darling is the sixth-ranked golfer in the nation who just shot six under par during the NCAA Athens Regional across 54 holes. She leads the Gamecocks with a 71.88 scoring average and 14 rounds of shooting at least par. She’s also top on the team with four top-five finishes and six top-10 finishes in nine stroke-play starts.

Darling and the Gamecocks are off to the desert for the NCAA Championships which get underway on Friday!
