🔼 Doing It Right. Juice Wells gave Gamecock Nation a boost when he decided to come back for another season in the Garnet & Black. According to his head coach, Juice’s biggest growth so far this off-season has come off the field.

“He really worked hard as a leader in that receiver room. So, one thing is just becoming a better teammate, a great leader,” said Coach Beamer. “He did that and there’s still so much more he can improve on as well — route running, some of the new things we’re doing offensively…I feel like he had a very good spring.”

🔼 Global Ball. Chloe Kitts is going international! The rising sophomore earned a spot on the 2023 USA Women’s U19 National Team and she’ll travel to Madrid in July for the 2023 FIBA U19 Women’s World Cup. It’s Kitts’ second time playing for the Stars and Stripes after she took the court for the U17 Women’s World Cup team.

🔼 On The Dial. Are you ready for some softball? The entirety of the NCAA Softball Championship Regionals will be broadcast across all ESPN platforms.

South Carolina’s opening round game against UCF will be live on ESPN2 at 7 p.m. ET on Friday with broadcasters Courtney Lyle and Danielle Lawrie. You can check out the full tourney schedule here.

🔼 Best In Business. South Carolina’s standout shortstop Braylen Wimmer is a semifinalist for the Brooks Wallace Award, which is given to the game’s best collegiate shortstop every season. Before yesterday’s game, Wimmer had a .298 batting average with 11 homers, a triple, eight doubles, 13 stolen bases, and 38 RBI in 44 games this season.

🔼 Conference Standouts. Four Gamecocks earned All-SEC Outdoor Track and Field honors this week: Anass Essayi and Silan Ayyildiz both earned first-team honors, while Rogerio Amaral and Sylvia Chelangat earned recognition on the second team.

🔼 Everything A Football Player Does. Does kicker practice at South Carolina always look the way you’d expect? Mitch Jeter talked with 107.5 The Game about why you’ll see South Carolina’s kickers on the field throwing the ball, catching passes, and tackling.

“We’re doing everything a football player does and that’s how Coach Lembo wants to see us, as football players, not as specialists,” Jeter said.
