The Follow: Don’t Count ‘Em Out (S.2 Ep.5): As the 2024 regular season comes to an end, we’re reminded that baseball is a long season full of ups and downs for every team. This Gamecock team is no different, but there’s something that sets South Carolina apart: with the talent on this roster and what they’ve already shown they can do, don’t count ‘em out.

Whether they’re down three in the bottom of the ninth to a Top-5 team or coming off a tough weekend, more often than not, this team finds a way to bounce back. Ty Good and Blake Jackson take us back through a wild weekend in Founders Park against Kentucky, and look ahead to what this team plans to accomplish as the postseason nears.

📈 STOCK UP

🔼 Tourney Time. Gamecock baseball will open the SEC Tournament against Alabama tomorrow afternoon at approximately 2:00pm ET on the SEC Network. South Carolina has taken the diamond against the Crimson Tide four times during the SEC Tournament.

🔼 Singles & Doubles. And speaking of tournaments, men’s tennis’ Toby Samuel and Casey Hoole will hit the court for the NCAA Singles and Doubles Championships in Stillwater, Oklahoma. Fourth-seeded Samuel will take on UC Santa Barbara’s Pablo Masjuan at 11:00am this morning in the singles tourney, while Samuel and Hoole will take on top-seeded Garret Johns and Pedro Rodenas of Duke in the doubles bracket on Tuesday.

On the women’s court, South Carolina’s Ayana Akli will battle Wake Forest’s Casie Wooten in her opening round singles match today at 11:00am, while Sarah Hamner will face Duke’s Shavit Kimchi at 10:30am. Akli and Hamner are also part of the doubles tournament, and will take on Southern California’s Eryn Cayetano and Emma Charney on Tuesday.

🔼 Red, White, and Blue. Incoming South Carolina women’s basketball freshman Joyce Edwards is making quite a name for herself! Edwards was among 12 players to earn a spot on the 2024 USA Basketball Women’s U18 National Team which will represent the stars and stripes at the 2024 FIBA U198 Women’s AmeriCup next month in Colombia.

🔼 Top 100. On3 is counting down the Top 100 Players in College Football ahead of the 2024 season, and a familiar name made the list. Defensive tackle T.J. Sanders came in at No. 51 in the nation. Sanders, who earned third-team All-SEC honors, finished last season with 43 tackles, 4.5 sacks, 9.5 tackles for loss, and four passes broken up.
