🔼 Coffee And Baseball. That’s one in the books at the SEC Tournament for Gamecock baseball! South Carolina took down Georgia, 9-0, in the first match-up of the tournament at Hoover Met yesterday and advanced through the single-elimination portion of the tourney.

Gamecock bats came alive early and stayed alive late as a string of singles loaded the bases in the bottom of the second. Evan Stone brought home two with a base hit, giving South Carolina the early lead. The Gamecocks added three more runs in the bottom of the fourth to build a 5-0 lead before blowing the game open in the seventh.

Will Tippett finished the day 3-for-4, which included this bases-clearing triple in the bottom of the seventh that brought home three runs and propelled South Carolina to the 9-0 win.

James Hicks delivered a strong outing on the mound, going 6.2 scoreless innings with four hits, two walks, and six strikeouts en route to earning the win, while Cade Austin tallied the save.

South Carolina is back at it with another early morning battle, taking on third-seeded LSU at 10:30 a.m. ET. Catch it on the SEC Network with your morning coffee.

🔼 Farewell, Seniors. South Carolina softball’s tribute to its season will leave you feeling all the emotions this morning. And what a season it was: from intense battles against ranked opponents to sweeping Texas A&M to securing the program’s first WPF draft pick since 2013 to a no-hitter from Donnie Gobourne to a historic run through the SEC Tournament, these Gamecocks left it all on the field.

🔼 Regional Ready. It’s NCAA Regional time in Jacksonville for South Carolina Track & Field! The regionals get underway today and run through Saturday with the Gamecocks qualifying for 19 events: 11 for the men’s team and eight for the women’s. Follow along with live results from Florida over the next few days here.

🔼 Keep Rolling. Ayana Akli continues to crush it in the NCAA Singles Championships! Akli powered through her second-round match-up, defeating No. 54 Ozlem Uslu out of Virginia Tech, 6-0, 6-1 to advance to the Round of 16. Akli will square off in her next tournament match later today.

On the doubles side of the court, Akli and Sarah Hamner are cruising! The standout duo posted a 6-2, 6-3 win over their doubles competition from Notre Dame to advance to the Round of 16.

Weather forced the postponement of the doubles Round of 32 competition slated for yesterday. Connor Thomson and Toby Samuel will take the court today for their match, and both the Round of 16 and quarterfinals will both be held on Thursday.
