📈 STOCK UP

🔼 To Raleigh. The Gamecocks are heading to Raleigh! South Carolina baseball earned the No. 2 seed in the Raleigh Regional and will play James Madison on Friday for the first time since 2008. The games will be played at NC State; the Wolfpack and Bryant are the other two teams in the regional. The winners of the Raleigh Regional will take the diamond against the winners of the Athens Regional in next week’s Super Regional. Session books go on sale to the general public today at 5:00pm. 🔼 Relay Recap. We’ve got a lot of Gamecocks headed to Oregon for the NCAA Championship next month! Let’s recap all of the tickets that were punched to Eugene over four days of regional qualifiers.

Men’s:

  • Nyck Harbor will compete for a national championship in the men’s 100m and 200m sprints. He ran personal bests in both events on Friday evening.

  • Channing Ferguson will compete in the long jump and the high jump

  • Anass Essayi qualified in the 1500m

  • CJ Licata and Dylan Targgart will represent the Garnet & Black in the shotput

Women’s:

  • South Carolina women’s relay teams dominated the NCAA East Regionals, and both the 4×100m relay and 4×400m relay teams will head to Eugene. Jayla Jamison, Cynteria James, Zaya Akins, and JaMeesia Ford clocked the 4×100m in 42.46, breaking the 2003 record of 42.83.

  • Judy Kosgei will complete in the 1500m.

  • Teresa Cherotich punched her ticket in the steeplechase, running the first sub-10 minute mark in the event in program history.

  • Zaya Akins will head to Oregon to compete in the 400m

  • Sylvia Chelangat punched her individual ticket in the 800m

  • JaMeesia Ford, Jayla Jamison, and Cynteria James will all compete in the 200m

🔼 Fresh Impact. Next up in the South Carolina women’s basketball Best Of series is none other than the fantastic Tessa Johnson! Enjoy the top moments from her freshman season.

🔼 Nine In A Row. South Carolina women’s golf wrapped up its ninth straight season with multiple players earning All-American status. Junior Louise Rydqvist earned WGCA First Team All-American, while fellow junior Hannah Darling was named a WGCA Honorable Mention All-American. Both players have earned All-American honors three times.

🔼 Best There Is. A’ja Wilson is on a season-opening run unlike any other. On Saturday night, Wilson became the first player in WNBA history to post at least 100 points and 50 boards through the first four games of a season. Check out some of her highlights from her 29-point, 15-rebound performance against the Fever here, here, and here.

Meanwhile, on the other end of the court, Aliyah Boston finished with 12 points and six boards with some incredible highlights of her own.
