“We won the last game to ever be played at Johnny Rosenblatt Stadium and we’re going to be the first team to ever win in TD Ameritrade,” Tanner recalls telling his players in between championships.

Spoiler: That’s exactly what they did.

🔼 SEC Opener. Can you feel kick-off inching closer? South Carolina’s SEC schedule opens against Georgia on September 16 at 3:30 p.m. ET. The game will be nationally televised on CBS.

Chloe Kitts, representing the USA Women’s U19 National Team, and Raven Johnson, who will play at the 2023 FIBA Women’s Americup, are spending their time on the court in Columbia getting ready to crush it for the United States.

“We’ve been getting a lot of reps. We’re getting that individual attention that we need. We’re definitely going to develop from it,” said Johnson.

Kitts agreed, noting: “It’s great to get all that one-on-one especially because I wasn’t here last summer to do that. It’s been very hard, but it has been great. I’m really happy with it.”

🔼 Big-Time Throws. Jim Nagy is high on Spencer Rattler heading into the summer. The Senior Bowl executive released his latest Quarterback Notebook breaking down what’s next for QB1. Among the highlights?

“Spencer Rattler’s decision to return for a fifth year provides plenty of optimism for Coach Beamer’s team…Rattler showed command and confidence just letting it rip in late 2022 upsets of Tennessee and Clemson.”
